(917) 915-6118 Safety steps before we arrive
We don’t just remove the water. We return the home to how it was.
Blue Arrow Restoration & Development Corp. provides emergency water and fire damage services for homeowners and businesses: water extraction and structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation and sewage cleanup. Our technicians are trained through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and follow the IICRC S500 standard for professional water damage restoration.
Carpet, drywall, subfloors and framing are porous. A surface that feels dry can still hold enough moisture to grow mold and warp flooring weeks later. We clean, disinfect and deodorize, then verify temperature, humidity and material moisture content until every affected area reaches its dry standard — equipment stays until the readings say it can go.
- Water, fire, mold, sewage, pipe and roof leaks — one team manages the whole job
- Photo logs, daily moisture readings and job reports that adjusters accept
- Direct billing to your insurance carrier, so you are not fronting the cost
Complete property damage restoration
From the first emergency hour to the final coat of paint — and because a wet wall will get wet again if the source isn’t fixed, we also repair leaking pipes and roofs.

Detection technology and drying science have moved fast in recent decades. We use them to return your property to pre-loss condition faster and more reliably — not by what “looks dry,” but by what the instruments read.
- Moisture detection and mapping: thermal imaging cameras see moisture behind walls, ceilings and floors; meters measure how far saturation has spread
- Extraction: submersible and gas-powered pumps for standing water, truck-mount and portable extractors for carpet and floors
- Drying: high-velocity air movers speed evaporation while low-grain refrigerant dehumidifiers pull that moisture out of the air before floors and cabinetry swell
- Deodorizing and disinfecting: HEPA air scrubbers, thermal foggers and EPA-registered antimicrobials that suppress bacteria, fungi and mold

Inside our projects
How equipment is placed, how furniture and instruments are protected, how containment goes up — the job site says more than any brochure.
We build the claim file while we work
Almost every home in the United States is insured, yet few owners know how their policy actually responds. After a leak or fire, adjusters focus on three things: the cause, the extent of the damage and the record of what was done. Blue Arrow documents all three from the first hour on site and can bill your carrier directly.
- Before, during and after photos with daily moisture readings
- Itemized lists of removed materials and damaged contents
- On-site meetings with your adjuster to explain why each step was necessary
- Direct billing to the carrier, so you are not paying out of pocket and waiting

Long Island colonials, Queens two-family homes, Brooklyn brownstones, Manhattan co-ops, and Southern California slab-on-grade homes — each fails in its own way, and we know how.
What every homeowner should know
Much of the damage we see isn’t caused by the disaster itself, but by what happened in the hours after it.
What to do in the first 24 hours after water damage
Shut-off, power, photos, contents, insurance — a nine-step checklist that keeps a leak from becoming a renovation.

Will someone really answer if my pipe bursts in the middle of the night?
Yes. Both lines are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. We’ll first walk you through shutting off the main water valve and cutting power to affected areas, then dispatch a crew based on your location and the situation.
How long does it take to dry a house after water damage?
Most residential clean-water losses reach their dry standard in about three to five days after equipment is set, but the real answer depends on how long materials were wet, what they are made of (solid hardwood, concrete and drywall behave very differently) and the weather. We take readings every day and remove equipment only when the numbers confirm the job is dry.
Do you also repair the leaking pipe or roof?
Yes. If the source isn’t fixed, the best drying job will just get wet again. We can locate and repair leaking pipe sections, heating lines and water heater connections, or repair shingles, tile, flashing and gutters, and restore the water damage at the same time. Work that requires a licensed trade or a permit is performed by appropriately licensed professionals under local code.
Can my insurance company pay you directly?
Yes. With your authorization, Blue Arrow bills your insurance carrier directly and provides photos, moisture logs and job reports. Coverage and payment amounts are ultimately determined by your policy and your carrier’s review, and your deductible remains your responsibility.
I found mold in a corner. Can I just wipe it with bleach?
We don’t recommend it. Bleach lightens the surface stain but doesn’t reach mold growing inside porous materials, and scrubbing or blowing fans on it spreads spores to other rooms. Keep the area dry, leave it undisturbed and have a professional identify the moisture source and the extent of growth first.
Water, fire and mold don’t wait. Neither do we.
Every hour of standing water raises the cost of the repair. Call the office nearest you — a coordinator answers around the clock, dispatches a crew and can bill your insurance carrier directly.
